Barbara Shipe- Receptionist
I have been a receptionist for many years. I enjoy getting to know our patients and strive to be a friendly and efficient liaison between the patients and their desire for great care and the office’s required needs. i always work towards providing you, the patient, with outstanding service.
Due to my youngest son and I both having food and environmental allergies, I have many years of first-hand experience with allergies and can relate to what you are going through.
Amber Comegys – Medical Assistant
I graduated from Pima Medical Institute in 2001, with my Medical Assistant and Medical Secretary Certificate. I have worked in the Allergy & Asthma field for 6 years and Internal Medicine for 1 1/2 years. The past year I have been able to be at home with my daughter, enjoying the outdoor activities. I enjoy working with all ages of people and believe in providing the best patient care. I plan on staying with the new Allergy & Asthma Center of the Rockies and can’t wait to see how we grow in our practice.
Sarah Yokem- Registered Medical Assistant
I graduated from IBMC in 2002, with a Registered Medical Assistant Certificate. I have worked in the Allergy & Asthma field for 7 years. I enjoy the outdoors and painting. I am currently attending Front Range Community College to become a Registered Nurse. I am always looking forward for new challenges with my job. I love working with a variety of patients and I am very excited to be a part of this new experience with opening a new practice.
Rachel Locke- Medical Assistant
I graduated from IBMC with a Medical Assistant Certificate in 2002. I was on the Presidents Honor Roll. I’ve been in Allergy and Asthma for 6 years. In that time, I have attended multiple educational seminars. One of the most informative was at National Jewish Hospital, the leading Hospital in the field of Allergy and Asthma. My goal is to offer patients quality and up-to-date care. I believe patients deserve and should expect the best, physically and emotionally!
Mindy Heiden – Medical Assistant
I am a graduate from IBMC with an associate’s degree and a registered medical assistant certificate. I graduated as a member of ALPHA BETA KAPPA, national honor society. I enjoy trips to the cabin, camping and motorcycle riding, but cherish time spent with my grandson. I found my passion in helping others and believe in superior patient care. I had the pleasure of completing my internship with Dr. Lanting and now am excited to be apart of the team at the Allergy & Asthma Center of the Rockies.
Tasha Brewer – Medical Assistant
I graduated from IBMC with a registered medical assistant degree. I choose to work in the allergy and asthma field because of the variety of patients who we help feel better every day. There are always new discoveries, pertaining to allergies and asthma. I am always looking for new and exciting adventures. I enjoy spending time with my family and doing numerous outdoor activities. I am happy to join this rapidly growing team and look forward to making you feel GREAT!!
Kari Knight – Receptionist
I have been in the medical field as a receptionist for many years. I thoroughly enjoy working with patients, being able to give first rate customer service and getting to know the patients. I believe that the patient deserves the best, so I give my best. I am very happy to be working here and seeing the difference Dr. Lanting can make in a person’s life.
Juanita Rivera — Medical Assistant
I have 4 children and lived in Colorado all my life. I’m a IBMC graduate, I graduated with a 4.0 g.p.a and am proudly a member of Alpha Beta Kappa National Honors Society. I have worked in the beauty industry for 10 years, 7 of those were at a children’s salon. Working in healthcare has always been in my heart so I went back to school to receive my RMA degree. I’m very excited to be part of this amazing team here at Asthma and Allergy Center of the Rockies!

I have worked in the medical field for many years. I enjoy working with Dr. Lanting and the wonderful staff. Helping patients feel their best , gives our doctor’s and staff the satisfaction that we strive for. Giving the best customer service is my goal.
